Gathering Details
All meetings are held at 1030 Main St. in Altoona, Kansas, unless otherwise noted.
SUNDAY CELEBRATION
Meeting at 10:00 AM, our Sunday morning services entail a time of worship in song, which is lively and primarily contemporary in nature. Each week, we take a moment to engage in communion, offering, a scripturally based responsive reading, and the preaching of the Word of God. We believe in the present day operation of all the gifts of the Spirit, and regularly pray for one another, believing that signs and wonders follow those who believe.
MONDAY BOOK CLUB ZOOM MEETING
Meeting at 6:00 PM via Zoom, the Monday book club engages in discussion revolving around a chapter each week of a chosen book. This online meeting is meant to be light and casual and enables each participant to share what they've learned from the particular chapter. If you would like to participate, please send your contact information to agapesozocc@gmail.com or text 620-641-5527. We will get you up to speed on the current book we are discussing and send you a link to the Zoom meeting.
THURSDAY DISCIPLESHIP
Meeting at 6:00 PM, our midweek service is a time when we dive deeply into the word of God, sometimes going verse by verse through a particular book of the Bible. We discuss doctrinal topics and give an opportunity for those in attendance to ask questions regarding Biblical principles.
POTLUCK SUNDAY
On the first Sunday of each month, following our Sunday Celebration, we join together for a time of food and fellowship. Congregants are encouraged to bring a dish to share, but regardless, everyone is invited to attend. For those celebrating a birthday that month, we take a moment to acknowledge them as we'll have birthday cake to share. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better.
BIBLE BREAKFAST
On the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM, we gather for a scrumptious breakfast followed by a time for 3 or 4 members to share a 15 minute message from the Word of God. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear what God is showing others in the Bible.
